Everyone say POTATO!

Well it is official....we are now permenant residents of the great state of Idaho (at least for the time being). It was a tough decision but in the end the offer Basic American Foods gave Dallan was just too good to pass up. It is strange how things work. I wanted more than anything to move back closer to our families but for whatever reason it just didn't ever feel exactly right. I guess to me it is ironic that the one place I have been wanting so desperately to depart from over the last year turned out to be the place I ended up feeling the best about when the time finally came to make a decision. I am sad we are not going to be living near my family. I love them and I love the way they love, love, love our kids. That is the reason it makes me sad. My children adore their extended family and it would have been so much fun to raise them close to all the people who love them so much. But for some reason we are supposed to be here, at least for right now. And like my mom told me tonight....don't look back just be happy with the decision you guys made. So for what it's worth...Mom, Hannah, Beba, Aunt Jana, Aunt Susi and Uncle D(and the rest of the clan) we are really sorry!

Never be sorry for listening to the Spirit.

I know your family is proud of you for that. Part of what makes the family visits so special is because it isn't every day or all the time. It would be different and feel different if you were to live there, and see your family often. Not that they would love the kids less, but that it wouldn't be such a treat!

Glad your staying in Idaho personally. For me it was either Idaho or Port ORchard, and since Dallan wasn't interested in working as our receptionest, it looks like Idaho it is. :)
Love you you guys!

Life sure does seem ironic sometimes! Just think, now you don't have to pack up and move! That's a great thing to celebrate right there. =)

well, I might have to make the long boring drive up to see you then! Are you guys busy the 19th? Tyler and I need to go to the temple and the Logan Temple is closed until mid-August. Then we could just hang out, take the kids to a park, eat junk food (okay there's not much that's wheat free), and laugh and tell stories, drag out the old photo books. I know summers are crazy and gas prices are killer, just a thought though.

Megan and Laura you are welcome ANY time! Laura we have no plans as far as I know. I will talk to Dallan and get back to you. It would be so great to see you after all these years!

I was really excited to hear that you may be moving down. Now that you aren't, I guess I will just have to keep tabs on you thru your blog.
Hope all is well.

I'm a happy sort of mad at you. The same way I was when you moved from here. You're doing what is right for you...BUT NOT FOR ME! DID YOU TAKE THAT INTO ACCOUNT? HUH?!!

Just kidding. Maybe if we move down there it'll be enough for you guys in a couple of years to come join us in the fire. (not hell, though it's on the way)

I love you and I'm so happy for you and I'm glad they are finally showing Dallan how much he means to them (but not in an affectionate sort of way...right? Or was that apart of the package? That'd be sweet)

That SO part of the package(no pun intended) deal! I know, I know it is going to be horrible if you move down there. When and if that time comes there will certainly be some MAJOR regrets! I love you too by the way but not in an affectionate sort of way...right?

keep telling yourself that, mandee... but there is a f f e c t i o n. Remember Chelan? Or have you repressed it (if so, A BIG THANKS... I must have looked horrible being that pregnant when we...uh...nevermind. I don't want to bring it back if it's already gone.) I am happy for you. But not 'ha ha' happy.

Mandee, I love your new layout. It's so cute! And, of course, the picture of the kids is great!

I noticed you love chocolate cake. Me, too. Of course, I love almost anything chocolate. Anyway, if you ever end up in Lakeland, Florida you must go to Texas Cattle Company. Besides having the most juicy, tender, delectable filet mignon I've ever put in my mouth, they also have the most decadent, amazingly delicious Chocolate Mocha Cake in the universe. Usually I don't care at all for the mocha flavor, but in this cake it totally works. You must try it! That is, like I said, if you ever just happen to be in Lakeland, Florida! =)

Mandee sorry I have been absent and missed all of this. I am glad you feel good about your decision. ID is really not that far! I guess the offer was pretty darn good and it sounds like the position or ones to come will allow Dallan the challenges I know he would enjoy:)

On another note, totally cute blog. I tried checking out some free sites to find some new backgrounds. I should look some more!

Oh.....I miss you too!
